Nothing wrong with black. But I have a perfectly good normal size kettle, a Blaz’n Grillworks pellet smoker, an outdoor gas grill, and a grill built into my range.

Even with my very understanding wife, I can’t just buy another grill without having a reason!

See, I’m excited by the stainless steel grate. I don’t see the appeal of the inserts. I guess it’s just not for me.

I only use the stock grate insert, couldn't live without in on my Performer, rarely do I have to remove the whole grate.
I didn't see the need so much for one when I had a 26" but it would have been handy at times for sure.

While I might add a few of the Gourmet System inserts, particularly the searing grate, my primary reason for wanting the GBS option is that I'm afraid of burning out my current grate with my Vortex. We have wings at least 2-3 times a month. Maybe the full SS grate would slow that down, or even eliminate it, I don't know. If that's the case, though, I think we've got a better chance of Dave from Adrenaline BBQ putting one out than Weber.

Bummer...that's a great price! Looks like that one was one of the first few years of the newer 26's (black bucket, pop-in "taco").
