Howdy From Phoenix

My name is Burk Forsythe. I am the head cook for a rookie BBQ team, BadCat's BBQ, from Phoenix. I recently sold my pellet pooper and bought 2 WSMs. A 22 and an 18. I felt we were not getting enough flavor from the pellet cooker. My team mate has a WSM and we did some cooking on it for team consumption during a practice session and I was very happy with what the WSM produced. I also have an offset stick burner that I really like but it's too bulky to take on the road. I have been lurking around the site gathering information for a couple of weeks and decided it was time to come out. I look forward to learning all things WSM and hopefully winning a few contests.

Welcome to the group Burk. I know a team that was using Traegers and once they got a WSM their scoring became more consistent.

Welcome to the forum Burk, nice to have another AZ resident on board! Some of these guys and gals can do real magic with their WSMs.

Thanks for coming out of the shadows Burk. Nice switch to the WSM's....good luck on your comps this year and I would like to see some pictures of your fine cooks.
