How Do You Store Your WSM?

I store mine covered with the vents fully open under an overhang of my deck close to my house. I make sure they are clean and completely dry before placing the cover on them. I store my 26 3/4" One Touch the same way. The 22 1/2" One Touch has never been covered - I store with the vents closed. The '70's era kettle, at my Dad's, sits uncovered in Dad's garage, vents closed, unless I'm there and using it.

I have a screened-in patio/porch where the concrete extends a few feet beyond the screened-in section. My roof line was extended when this was built.

My grills are stored under the overhang. I have Weber premium covers over my WSM and kettle. I let everything cool off and dry out before I cover and leave all vents open. Covers do get wet when it rains.

In my garage with the side door removed for air flow and all vents open! No mold ever!

Under my patio cover. Sometimes I get lazy and don't clean it out immediately after a cook and don't put the cover on. I've been luck and never had any major issues when I've done that. But in 2012 I'm going to try and be more diligent about taking good care of my WSM. When I'm doing the right thing I clean it after my cook (empty out ash, unburnt coals, water from the pan, etc...) open all the vents, and put the cover on.

Like a few others, under a overhang roof with a bag over it. I shut all my vents, don't use water and have never had a mold problem.

Outside under a roof. Vents closed. Never covered. More user friendly, and i think i still have to clean my WSM after the last cook. No mold no nothing. I have the cover for my Platinum...Used it once. Its so darn tight so i never use it.

That makes three of us. Two kettles and the WSM seem perfectly happy on the deck all year.

In my garage uncovered with the vents closed. My garage is detached out back about 25' from the crib. I tried the covers on the deck but I had/have two many male dogs and I prefer to not give them any easy target.

Both the OTG and WSM have 3 wheels so rolling them in and out is easy when they call me.

In basement with all the vents open. I put the garage door handles on the body and it makes it really easy to just take out when needed and put away when done.
