Hot red salsa with habanero

Start with 7 tomatillos and 1 habanero on a CI skillet or the grill


Get 20-30 chile de Arbol. I think they are cayenne peppers. Toast the until they slightly change to a dark color



In a blender add your ingredients and 1/4 onion and 2 garlic cloves


Add 1/2 of water and blend. Start with 1 tbs of salt and add if needed

Looks great Tony! Do you keep this in the fridge? Is this also your "go to" salsa or do you have some others that you enjoy? I like the 'happy face' tomatillo in your ci skillet!

We keep this in the fridge. This was a new salsa Maribel made.
Our go to salsa is a green one. Similar to this one but with jalapeños and no chile de Arbol.

That looks Muy Caliente, Tony! Better keep lots of cold adult beverages on standby in case of emergency ... :cool:
