Or ask a pharmacist for drug interactions of everything you take. A doctor of pharmacy aka a clinical pharmacist understands the interactions possibly more than a GP.

I have been on Lisinopril for 10 years now.

I only learned of not taking NSAID's about 1.5 years ago. I don't take a lot of pain relievers so I guess/assume I am ok.

I also learned about 1.5 years ago that one should not eat grapefuit while on Lisinopril! Apparently it affects the absorption of the med. I had been eating a whole grapefuit daily with my breakfast for near 40+ years!

Also true of not eating grapefruit with statins. First BP med they tried me on was lisinopril but it made me cough like an old smoker

Grapefruit in particular, and IIRC a lot of citrus in general, have some odd pharmaceutical interactions.

The quinine in tonic water supposedly can mess with meds or so I've read.

40 years as a heavy equipment mechanic, yes arthritis in my fingers. Temp solutions, wear gloves to bed to keep the fingers warm especially in the winter. I go to the gym now and they have me throw a weighted basket ball off of the wall and catch it, this helps to keep the fingers moving but I still have the pain that wakes me up about 4-5 times a night. No more dexterity in the hands.

No worries, I have had blessed life! My dad would say I have earned my down time in retirement. Just know my limits and don’t push the ragged edge anymore

Oh OK. My buddy just had that on his shoulders. He (like myself) has rotator cuff damage from all the years we abused our bodies now we're paying for it.

So my doctor basically told me there's a limit to the # of cortisone injections he could do. I had two and it hasn't come back. Three-four years since my second injection.

Yea if they overdo it, it can cause more damage from weakening the surrounding tendons etc.
