Grilled Tturkey Breast

Brined overnight a three plus pound turkey breast in quite a simple mixture of water, salt and sugar...
then seasoned it with a mixture of Penzey's TUSCAN SUNSET and their ADOBO.

that was the turkey breast.... also, had four chicken thighs aside seasoned with Penzey's Arizona Dreaming....
in case the breast was a bust ;) GET IT??!! a BUST??!! nevermind.

ok, fired up the 26"OTG with a $#!+load of Kingsford.... wanted the kettle temp up to 400+
got the turkey on.... (small Cherry wood chunks on the coal for smoke flavour)

and the small yardbird thighs above the breast

taking about 20 minutes a pound....

this breast was about 3.2 pounds...
meanwhile, brussel sprouts with sweet red peppers were roasted inside the house.
we also baked some hot crash potatoes (not photo-ed)

once the turkey hit 165ºF, it was removed and foil tented for another 15 minutes or so....

while carving it ... sure, a few scraps fell floorside for our 21+yr old Niner to engulf....

butt we ate the majority of it and the taste was FANTASTIC!!
