Grilled Fish, 2 vintage grills and a NEW PUPPY

I can't remember the last time that I've posted, life has changed a little at the moment I'm basically working two full time jobs at the moment. The organization that I had been working for closed, so I'm helping them wrapped everything down and I've also started working for a new company both jobs are pretty intensive so I haven't been getting to the grills much, but I am keeping an eye on all your good cooks.

A co-worker of mine gave me some white fish, I'm sure they told me what kind of fish it was but I forgot. The Lady of the House found a fish salad that she wanted to make, so I fired up one of the performers. Put the fish on indirect for about 30 minutes with some apple wood for smoke.

I forgot to mention how hot it is today and we also have a wildfire going on about 80 miles to the north of us.

After 30 minutes of indirect and smoke I went more direct with the fish.

And platted pictures. The salad included spaghetti, cabbage, edamame, and had an Asian flavored dressing.

A very clean lite and delicious summer salad.

I still cruise Craigslist for webers and came across these two grills for $10.00 each....how could I have past these up?

Now I have two projects once I'm only working one job.

And now for the young lady that has been taking most of our free time. Meet Roxy Ann, a little 10 month old pup that we got from the Humane Society.

As you can tell she doesn't like having her picture taken. The day after we brought Roxy home she took a huge turn for the worse and we had to take her to the Vet. Long story short she had kennel cough and was really sick. After a week and a half of antibiotics and cough syrup she's finally came around and happy to have a good home. She is one spoiled girl. We took her to the dog park today for the first time and Roxy has never met a stranger only friends. She ran with every dog in the park, the only problem was is that we were there for an hour and new fresh legs kept showing up, I would dare say that she ran over two miles today.

Here is a picture of a young pup that played very hard today

I guess this is what dog tired looks like.

I appreciate you all for looking and keep cooking those excellent looking grills.

Beautiful cook, nice find on the redheads, and Roxy Ann is a doll!
Good to see you back James, stay safe from those fires, and don't work too hard.

Wondering where you snuck off to. That fish and salad look tremendous. Nice cook with the hot days. Feel your angst with this heat and fires.

Awesome cook James

The salad included spaghetti, cabbage, edamame, and had an Asian flavored dressing = Yum

First congratulations on the new puppy, we know you are going to have your hands full. She is a cutie.
the salad looks real guud, something my wife would go for.

That fish salad looks really good.
I'm always glad to see someone get a rescue pup and Roxy Ann is a sweetheart. We've had Whitney are rescue for about three months now and she is the greatest pup. She is just like Roxy, loves every living thing.
Hope things settle down for you soon, nice to see you back.

Awesome looking fish salad great job by you and the Mrs. Roxy is a sweetheart from the pics and I'm sure will be lots of fun for you both.

Puppy Dog!

.....
I notice she's wearing a harness which means she probably pulls.......... after you're sure she's not going to bolt (just going from my own experience w/ a pound pup----the first night & few weeks were iffy), you might look at a prong collar.... If you go this route watch a few videos first and let her do the pulling - it'll stop....she'll probably only wear it a few times. I did that for a while then stepped it down to a martingale collar based on a recommendation from someone here. I bought a couple and this is what works for me.

Good Luck :)

Thanks Clint, initially she did pull, but I simply broke her of that habit by stopping and walking the other direction when she started to pull too much. Right now the harness is used to keep her in the back seat of my truck and out of the front seat.
