Grilled Delmonico Steak

Started with these monster Delmonico Steaks

weighing in just under 1 and a quarter pound each
seasoned with Weber's Steak House Rub found on P. 25 in this book

chopped onion, poblano peppers and mushrooms in a CIS on the 26"OTG

Steaks on 3 minutes or so to sear then indirect to a nice 130ºF internal temp

veggies are done

with no russets or Yukons in house, baby yams were served with the grilled veggies and the beef

a little Feta on the steaks then broiled for mere seconds

Jim those steaks look delicious. I'm waiting for my breakfast menudo and now want to return it :( I want steak!!!
 
Feta that is a first for me. I have done Blue Cheese but never gave feta a thought. Great pics and tip!!

Jim, Del's are our favorite! IMHO, they're the best steak out there. Love em' lots of flavor, looks like you had plenty different partners in crime...guilty....OF BEING ONE TOTALLY AWESOME LOOKING COOK!!! ;)
 
Those steaks look incredible, Jim. If it weren't so cold in Wisconsin, I'd invite myself to dinner.
