Got a Crimson colored Performer!

So this happened to me on my performer too. Still clicked but wouldn't actually light. I replaced the battery on a lark even though I figured that since it was clicking it meant it wasn't the battery. I figured I'd try that before I started buying replacement parts. Sure enough the new battery started it right up. So, you might try a new battery, just in case.

I tried a couple batteries already, but maybe try another brand or something.

I would not sell that SSP for less than $200. I have the identical grill,
albeit with better grates, and it will bring $225 to $250. I would also
highly recommend you add the red kettle to the Weber badge for
added POP!
I tried to clean up my grates by soaking them in a garbage bag with grill cleaner...then blasting with pressure washer. Didn't really do much though.

I surprisingly still have not gotten any messages about it, even listed at $150. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong with listing it on Facebook Marketplace... Any of you that use Facebook, could you search in the Atlanta area for my Weber and see if it comes up for you? It still says "1 View".
The bowl isn't in great shape, which is why I listed at $150. There are a couple wear holes, but it still cooks excellent food. I might keep it if I can talk the wife into it...

What do you mean by adding the red kettle to the badge? Painting the kettle red or buying a new badge/logo?

Paint the kettle red, with hi-temp paint. Retake pics, and repost ad. FB does weird s**tuff sometimes and the ad does not post. Very annoying.

My wife does mine for me. I hate making the time to when it would be
better served on another task. I have a few extras ready to go when
needed. I kept finding myself with a grill ready to post and sell with
no logo. Then having to wait 3-4 days screwing around redoing one
properly.

That's how she does it. After repainting the whole thing in
gloss black, and sanding off raised edges.

Thanks for letting me pick your brain.
Are your badges metal?

My SS one was a hand me down from my father-in-law. He had it sitting unused under his deck and was happy to give it to me. Funny thing is, he had one of those cheap big stainless steel gassers up on the deck, not a Weber but one of the cheaper ones that lasts a year or so then falls apart. Every time we visited him and he cooked, the meat was always way overcooked or burnt. A year or so later he ends up trashing the metal gasser and buying a new performer :)

Anyways, the one he gave me didn't have a badge, so I just grabbed a plastic one off a Genesis. I'm sure I could still paint a plastic one though, right?

Kyle - I saw that beautiful grill and didn’t realize it was yours. Came this close —> (fingers close together) to inquiring about it - several times - and regained my composure.
Now knowing it’s yours I’ll refrain from insulting you with the lowball offer I was going to send.;)

Haha can you actually see it on Facebook?
I thought I had my old SS black performer listed, but think Facebook glitched and I haven’t attempted to relist it.

if you’re talking about the Crimson performer, the lady I bought it from still has it listed. She’s older so she might not realize it. But I have no desire to sell the Crimson grill! It’s a keeper for me

I do see your beautiful black SS Performer on Atlanta FB Marketplace. Was very close to jumping on it, but knowing it’s yours I’m glad I held my composure and didn’t insult you with a lowball offer.:)

Interesting! You know that I haven’t gotten a single message about the grill? To be honest I’m not very motivated to sell it. I just have it listed to make the wife happy
