Gonna Pick this up tomorrow

I had high hopes for this grill and so far they have all been met or exceeded. The ~1.2# chicken breast took a total of about 30 minutes (0.59kW) start to stop with smoke at medium GRILL mode, probably 10-13 minutes of it starting the pellets and preheating. Like you say, this grill is a fast cooker! Surprisingly fast.

I've been using the Combustion wireless predictive thermometer and they've gotten pretty good with predicting when things will be done. Regardless, using both grate heating and air fryer heating really accelerates the cooking process.

Glad you're liking it. I also had set the grill up cross wise on the new work cart but it does feel like I am leaning way over to get to my foods (for now I will stick to that for over cooking my burgers) :D
So, I too will be turning it the other way. Still plenty of room on the top for utensils and what not. Once sorted out maybe I will get a silicone mat as well. I probably could have gotten by with the slightly smaller cart. But, I did not want the any portion of the grill itself hanging off. So this larger one just feels "better" overall

So the lamb rack turned out well. But once again I "over shot" the it and was way overcooked for my liking. I think it it wasn't only like 2 above out there I would have likely paid closer attention. You guys wanting to cook in this s^7t need your heads examined :D along with me since guilty as the rest I guess.
I will say this. Regardless of the the awful cold the little Ninja can certainly hold it's own

I did burgers tonight on HI GRILL, toasted the buns while the burgers rested, about 35 minutes overall (0.64kW). 18 minutes spent lighting pellets and preheating, 17 minutes cooking and toasting buns. We are really happy with the crisp that the air fryer brings! I was surprised by the 15F carryover (pulled at 158F). We put too many toppings on...bacon, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, pickles, avocado...the burgers were tasty but messy. I only used a half load of pellets, plenty of smoke but not enough for anything to take on a smoke flavor. Went to empty the pellet bin and the pellets never lit. The smoke must have been from a burn-off, despite cleaning the grate after last night's dinner. Evidently the Woodfire Technology requires a full load of pellets.

More extreme winds (gusts up to 100mph!) predicted for SoCal tomorrow, and more again (though not as severe) on Thursday.

I did a short load of pellets last night on ours. They lit right up. I don't think it knows the difference. I've had pellets not ignite myself only to find out I forgot to set it for smoke  or accidentally turned it off. I noticed if you change cook modes it will turn the pellets off unless you're changing to "smoker".

I don't remember doing anything like that but anything is possible, I guess. I'll try it again and monitor it more closely. It had smoke so I assumed...

Reading on the f/ninjawoodfire group last night that the pellet bin ignites in or near the center and that can cause problems with ignition if you use less than a full bin. Some people run it through the IGN phase twice by holding down the button after it finishes the IGN process, others put crumpled aluminum foil in the bottom to raise the pellets up into the ignition area. Some people shut the IGN off after 25% - 50% completion to make the smoke last longer. Lots of tips here.

Looks like a new LPG Woodfire recently launched, the Ninja Woodfire FlexFlame.

Wow! Ninja is invading Weber outdoor grilling territory in a serious way. Pretty cool assembly of features if you are OK with relying so much on electronics. For someone who just wants a simple way to grill and not an enthusiast, I could see this having a lot of appeal. Price?

The only critique I have is that the control operates in the counterclockwise direction. In the US, we turn controls clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease. The Ninja turns full clockwise for OFF.

Also, it appears to have done away with the piezo igniter in favor of a standing pilot.

No rotisserie. But I like Shark Ninja's innovation! A melding of a gas grill and a pellet grill, just like the original Woodfire, an air fryer combined with an electric griddle. Way to go, Ninja.

IDK looked fairly intuitive to me. I think they're wanting to have you think "oven" rather than grill. And I will lay odds a rotisserie will soon follow. Looks like the perfect machine for it. EW burners, convection cooking, IDK looking like a winner to me.
As for pilot light. Actually a VERY smart move IMO. The grill works like the IR burner in my Wolf. You light the pilot, it lights the IR burner after the thermocouple turns on the gas. If something happens, gas shuts off. I think it's very sensible from a safety and less wasted gas aspect.
