Genesis refurbishment complete

This one took more work than normal due to to the 5x panels. Its rare so desirable but not Weber's finest hour tbh. Not keen on the fake wood shelves and the glass doors dont belong on a grill imo. Still love the green/platinum hood though

Very nice restore. If you don't care for the durawood, you might consider replacing that with some new wood slats. But that durawood looks to be very good condition.

Amazing restore! Looks beautiful! Almost too good to cook on and make a mess. I somewhat agree about the fake wood I would lean towards real wood but these look brand new! I also agree those glass doors are somthign I am not sure I have ever seen on grill.

Some gas grills back in the day actually had glass windows in the lids. I think Sunbeam was one of them.

I just thought of something. An interesting project would be to set a record player on top of the cooking grates and then mount some speakers behind the swing tables. Then put a CD player, amp, equalizer and stuff in the cabinet. Then park it in the living room.

I like it, and that grill is clean and nice enough to turn it into furniture!

Very nice restore, don't know if you knew that the durawood is made out of recycled milk cartons. My 24-year-old Genesis has the original durawood, it doesn't look so pretty even new, but it holds up well.

Like this Thermos grill with not only a glass window but glass shelves. I kick myself for not buying it to this day.
