I’d be interested to see it with a black control panel.
And to think my family makes fin of me. I've got one gas grill (working not counting the Q220 red head in my back garage), 2 pellet grills and a tiny coal burner I don't use and of course the Ninja but IDK if I should count it because you plug it inNew family pic. Now that I did the redhead lid swap do I see the potential for a Platinum 1000?

What are you going to do to them? Now that I have what I want I want concentrate on completing them.
I need to clean and repaint the some of the lid end caps and cook boxes. What are you going to do to them?
Sandblasting near me is very expensive so I've only done it once. If all the paint is still present on a cook box or even the end caps, I just scrub them down really well and repaint them. It saves a lot of work and they look fantastic. The parts can add up on a restoration so I (and others obviously) will occasionally restore and sell one in order to fund other projects with the profits. I also recommend going start to finish on just one grill so you don't get sidetracked.I have not decided if I want to wire wheel or sandblast the cook boxes yet. $$ is a factor.
I will also need burners, flavor bars and drip trays.
Samuel, I would go full-bore on one. Since you have other cooking options to take your time and do one, extensively and detailed.I need to clean and repaint the some of the lid end caps and cook boxes.
I need to clean SS frames.
I need to clean and paint some for the wire bottom racks.

I will not come anywhere near pristine to rehab jobs you, Cody, Bruce and Josh do, but thats okay.
I hope to get pavers and mats all around.
I hope to keep around 4 of them.
Yeah, I just saw a grill for sale in Rockford that I have to take a pass on, two hour round trip. There is a blasting company over near Estwing that is actually quite reasonable but it's a bit of a haul from your burb
