Glad it worked out! There’s a fair amount of play on those lids to end caps up and down, and a fairly tight clearance when you open it.
Thanks Josh,Mothers brand polish on SS or any metal is a must have in my work shop. To bring back SS to like new no matter how bad it's stained or charred. If it's severely stained it can take some elbow grease but most times it doesn't take much effort. Also a little trick that I've learned if you sprinkle a little bit of baking flour on it when you're rubbing it out it rubs out even easier to an even higher shine. I learned this when I was detailing stainless and aluminum on semi trucks when I was a teenager.
Maybe it sure is hot outside here though. Cleaning with Mother's polish indoors is interesting for it leaves a lingering smell. I should have worn gloves. Ugh.Looks great! Should try it on a handle or cookbox shield next!

Yup, that.I think he is referring to SS shield in front just below the lid in this pic that has the iginitor hole.
