Genesis Jr Restoration

I don't get why spend that much effort on something hidden away anyway. They do look nice but it's like your lady with sexy underwear on. Only the person with "permission" will know :D
It's just important to me. I'm going to see it and I'm going to know the difference. Same reason I polish the underside of the control panel I guess. I can understand why somebody wouldn't want to take those extra steps but for me I enjoy doing it. I'm not in a rush or dreading putting in the work. I enjoy the entire process from start to finish and when I'm done I want to be proud of what I was able to accomplish.

As an army vet, I can appreciate how nice a piece of brass can get when shined properly. I can also appreciate that it won't stay that way all that long. Not having people touching it will extend the shine a lot though.

This grill is going to be put to work immediately after completion. It's going to get dirty greasy grimy tarnished. I'm still going to do a high level restoration but I understand it's not going to stay that way. I'm not going to be scared to use it and enjoy it. Sure I'll keep it cleaned up and nice within reason but I won't be scared to get it dirty.

I understand that some people will definitely think it's a waste of time to make it that nice just to use it and get it dirty and greasy. It's worth it to me though.

I like to say that how you do anything, is how you'll do EVERYTHING. You clearly strive for a high standard in all that you do! I'm similar in my tendencies, although I do not always have the time. We'll done
Thank you Eric I appreciate it! I think anything worth doing is worth doing right. Also I'm kind of a bit of an extremist so I try to focus my energy on positive things. Sometimes time for myself is like last night when my family was sleeping and I worked on my NG valves. I try to spend as much time with my family as possible and always put them first. I'm sure you do the same with that beautiful family of yours.

I find that the older I get, the more I have that mindset. I've also found that priorities changed for me as I found fitness. It really does promote a growth mindset that has had a positive effect on family life. I've also recently started hrt and that has really made me a better father and husband, more growth!

I cut my Grates to size today for my Junior. One more thing ready for Arizona.
Three and a half more weeks before I fly out. My pile of parts for the Junior is getting bigger. Hopefully I don't forget anything. I guess if I forget anything I'll just have to bring it when I go back in February but I'd like to have it 100% complete by Christmas.

Are you going to bring all that stuff on the plane? I think I would mail it to myself and cut down on the hassle.
