Genesis 4/5 Restore

I believe the casters were originally for just the higher end 4/5 grills before becoming standard issue on all Genesis grills.

I'd bet it's the same as a 2000 and I still have that old 2000 frame. I'll go have a look

Here ya go my friend! One thing I'll lay odds on is all the X000 grills have the same measurement

I am sure that is true Larry. But this is a Genesis 1-5. They had different tank scales and possibly required the scale sticker in a different position. My tank scale has a straight pointer.

Oh, I didn't know that IDK how truly important the position is (within reason). I mean look how sloppily it's put on from the factory on mine

I agree Larry. I think the tank scale things are dumb anyway. If Weber is going to cut a few $$$$, I would think they could skip the scale assembly and just put a hook to hang the tank on.
But, this is a kind of special build and I want to keep it as close to original as possible. No matter how ridiculous it seems.

They already started doing just that on the cheaper models. Inaccurate or not, I would still want the tank scale.

I get that Steve. I think I am in the minority on that opinion. But, I can honestly say that I cannot ever remember looking at the grill tank scale reading when I checked how much propane I had left. I always just reach under and kind of lift it and go by feel. I always have a spare full tank on hand in case I run out anyway.

Do you need me to measure one of my grills with an old style sticker?

I checked most of my grills to make sure the measurement was consistent. I measured the same way Cody did from under the top frame piece down. 8 1/2 to the top of the sticker and 12 1/2 to the bottom
