Thought I'd start a thread on my latest grill. I would guess that most of you wouldn't even mess with a grill like this, but they are so rare around here that I went ahead with it even though I doubt I'll get my money back on it. Grill was a rust bucket...
The cross member by the firebox-

One of the frame connector tabs had broken loose:
The zbars are salvageable, but won't look very good with the amount of effort I'll put in

2 new crossmembers with inserts on the bottom

Repaired frame tab. Brain fart led to me using a larger bolt..

Neighbor welded in a new rail by the firebox. Could have hit those welds with a grinder, but that's the least of this grills problems. Lol. Firebox and end caps do look really good with the stove bright black satin paint. It is pricey, but looks much much better than what I get with the Rust-Oleum ultra.

Manifold cleaned up nicely. All new hardware except for the screws holding down the control panel.
Nearly everything that can be is new on the grill. It came with a newer type tank holder, Bruce supplied me with an older one.

The hood is faded as bad as I've seen. And had a nasty scratch

Still working on the handle, I'll update with finished pics later. I may end up keeping it, seems like I should have a gas grill. I've got way North of $300 in it and have no idea what it will bring. At least I saved one from the landfill!
