I like the sound of that!I’m going to have the control panel for the “Blue haired “witch”” bead blasted, electro polished then laser engraved! If I ever get that far!
I wish! Now if someone would only make reproduction control panels like this one.View attachment 110124
Thanks so much, Mark! This gives all of us a good idea of what to expect. The new one is probably as good as we could have asked from a reproduction. I would certainly use on my own grill or maybe on a very fine, higher priced flip grill.View attachment 110120View attachment 110121In my best assessment, Weber has a ever so slightly smoother finish.
We are splinting hairs here.
I ordered my second one two minutes after seeing this one.
In my opinion, I can't tell the Weber pan from the non Weber pan.
I couldn't tell any differencebut how do they feel in relative weight?
I'd buy them all day long at 50 bucks.I don’t see $50 as that unreasonable if it has that level of quality.
Do you need one? Or do you still have one tucked away? Now if someone would only make reproduction control panels like this one.View attachment 110124
That's one of those things I'm always on the lookout for. Nice control panels and lids, along with the grills themselves are getting harder and harder to find around here for whatever reason. It's getting to the point where I will need to pick up a Genesis 1000 of any description just to have a base to start with and then track down a nice lid and control panel to do what I want with it. Honestly, I don't think I have more than a couple of really nice restorations of these in my future at this point so I have to really make them count if that makes any sense.Do you need one? Or do you still have one tucked away?
It makes perfect sense Steve! I hope you can find some more or else I'm going to have to bring some that wayThat's one of those things I'm always on the lookout for. Yeah, that works. The burgundy lid 1000 in Arizona sold. Guy wouldn't except full Price payment and hold it for me.
Here's my next option. If it's still available in a couple weeks when I get there.
