Genesis 1000 Porcelain Drip Tray

View attachment 110120View attachment 110121In my best assessment, Weber has a ever so slightly smoother finish.
We are splinting hairs here.
I ordered my second one two minutes after seeing this one.
In my opinion, I can't tell the Weber pan from the non Weber pan.
Thanks so much, Mark! This gives all of us a good idea of what to expect. The new one is probably as good as we could have asked from a reproduction. I would certainly use on my own grill or maybe on a very fine, higher priced flip grill.

Not to split hairs any further, but how do they feel in relative weight?

but how do they feel in relative weight?
I couldn't tell any difference 🤔

I was very skeptical before I bought this first pan.
After reading a few things, I said what ta hell.
I don't regret buying, in fact, number 2 is on the way as we speak.
Both of these pans are going on my 2 keepers/never use grills.
I would buy a 3rd but my Genesis 1 has a older style pan.

I'M SATISFIED💯%

Do you need one? Or do you still have one tucked away?
That's one of those things I'm always on the lookout for. Nice control panels and lids, along with the grills themselves are getting harder and harder to find around here for whatever reason. It's getting to the point where I will need to pick up a Genesis 1000 of any description just to have a base to start with and then track down a nice lid and control panel to do what I want with it. Honestly, I don't think I have more than a couple of really nice restorations of these in my future at this point so I have to really make them count if that makes any sense.

It makes perfect sense Steve! I hope you can find some more or else I'm going to have to bring some that way

I have been jumping at anything free or really cheap for those reasons. If it has anything decent it’s worth grabbing and stashing stuff. But I haven’t seen much of your coveted older stuff near me.

Yeah, that works.
I'm planning the next restoration in Arizona to be gifted to my neighbors. I might just have to gift them my Genesis ii and keep this 😂I feel like this would go very well with my junior.
Also I have all of my custom Sappy Walnut set aside to go on a black Platinum. I think that will be the best lid to go with that wood
