I’m sending one of these trays to Jeff @ IPE with my next batch of lids and am sure it will come back with a much better finish than it currently has

Can do. All 3 lids are x000 series. TBH, only one will be worthy of any sort of future reveal and even that will probably be a bit “meh” to many eyes. The others will be colors we’ve seen here before…deep ocean blue and bright tomato red (I think that’s close to what they’re really called). I have a real affection for the more vibrant hues IPE offers over the sometimes muted OEM colors. In all reality, I don’t have a specific plan for any of them at the moment so we’ll see where the road takes me. And, of course, the tray will be what it is and I will gladly provide feedback vs the GrillParts finish when received.

No, the quality is as good, trust me guys.
A few of yous know me, I'm a picky sonofa, this pan is great.

It sure looks Weber to me.

I'm sure it's perfect for a grill you're never going to use but let's see a picture of the inside of it too. It's kind of hard to see the finish quality.

Mark, Thanks for taking one for the team and sharing your evaluation. Very glad it is a winner for you and looks like a decent option for a critical part for these old Genesis grills that is getting increasingly scarce as originals are rarer and more often now too far gone.

If you can, I would like to see some side-by-side comparisons with one of your clean Weber originals.

Either way, it would be interesting to see how they compare in weight and thickness of finish to an old original. I know you have a pretty nice old one that I brought you last fall.

In my best assessment, Weber has a ever so slightly smoother finish.
We are splinting hairs here.
I ordered my second one two minutes after seeing this one.
In my opinion, I can't tell the Weber pan from the non Weber pan.
