Been trying to keep in front of my prolific, but very slow maturing, tomato patch.

Paired with the best sweet corn patch I've had in a long, long time. Put 30 quarts in the freezer the night I picked these.

Meanwhile, mostly for giggles, I decided to try baking a simple blueberry cobbler on my new Jumbo Joe.

Provolone cheese, a few caramelized onions on top, and a squirt of Thousand Island dressing.

And a bit of dessert. I felt this was a worthy experiment in pursuit of the perfect summer meal. In fact, I think I will eet it again!

Can't beat cooking the corn a hundred yards from where it grew! Kinda hard to eat supermarket stuff after having your own fresh. I wouldn't say the cobbler was a huge success, the bottom got a little too crispy and the top not enough. I wonder if putting a cold stone underneath the pan about halfway through would have helped balance that out.
