Fried Chicken

TVWBB 1-Star Olympian
Seasoned and floured some chicken thighs and fried them on my Performer.


Finished the chicken indirect and made some Grand biscuits


While the chicken was finishing up indirect I too some of the oil and the seasoned flour I used on the chicken and made a white gravy.


Plated up with some mixed vegetables
 
Thighs, PeasBeansCarrots&corn with the biscuits & gravy.... w0wJohn!

You are braver than me John. I did mine last nite in the oven using Sylvia's for seasoning and some olive oil in a cast iron skillet. It was dark and I don't have good lighting outside.
 
I cut my first teeth on biscuits and gravy :)
I'd love to sink my teeth into some of that bird and your b&g right now!

John the only improvement I can see is to have that bowl of gravy goodness poured all over that chicken :) Beautiful!

About 98% of America would not have thought of that!
 
Very nice cook John. I have a question. When you are frying on your performer are putting coals on just one side and placing your CI fryer above the coals or indirect? Seem like the few times I have done over the coals everything gets a little to dark and not fully cooked.
