Wednesday it was 97° here and two days later it was cold and raining. Took advantage and got the grill out. Decided to do some Rusty Dawgs. Did this post last year so I won't go into a lot of detail.
I made the chili a couple of weeks ago, anticipating this cook.

Mixed the sauerkraut with some Modelo beer, Chili Powder and Sugar. Heated and let steep for around 20 minutes.

Went with Nathan's again.

Gave them a little char for 2 or 3 minutes.

I used hoagie rolls last time but went with these sub rolls for this cook. Scooped them out for the dogs. Will make croutons or something with the bread I removed.

A little yellow mustard.

Put a layer of high temp Cheddar Cheese on and dumped on my chili next.

Wrapped in foil and put in fridge until I finish the cook later this evening.
