Ribs sauced and almost ready to go.
Windy again today, so we fished the other side of Gull Lake again. Ran into a man that said he has been here for three weeks and only caught 5 fish. He said this week was better than the last two because the weather has cooled down considerably.
He said the last two weeks the fish bit from 6am to 7am in the morning and then not until 6pm to 7pm at night because the lakes were so warm.
We had heard the fish weren't biting so we brought all the goodies to cook and still have a good time.
Today we hooked into 9 more fish the same size or a little bigger, kept 3 more.
The man we talked too earlier walked by us with three fish on his stringer and was all smiles.
This is a picture of the windy side of Gull Lake, there is a dirt road on the other side of the lake where you can launch a car top boat or canoe.
There are also about 6 places you can toss a line in,you can see a dock on the other side of the lake if you look close.
so thats our secret spot in the wind shhhhhh.
Used the Coleman stove and the Lodge CI on the deck for a little Leg of Lamb and mashed potatoes and gravy.
A friend from Tahoe came down to fish with us and camped out at Gull Lake Campground with his tent and dog,we brought over some trout and cooked up a good meal. No pics.
Took a day off and went to Whoa Nellie Deli for lunch, yes it is at a gas station but check out the menu.. if my link works, tasty food.
The place was packed, again no pictures.

Enough cooking, we went out for Pizza and beer at the Sierra Inn.
Picked up a Growler and a few cans of beer from the Brewery to bring home.
Thats it, hope you liked the fishing/food/beer adventure and thanks for looking.
