Happy Christmas folks...hopefully I get this on the right thread tonight...I bombed last nites dinner post!!

Ok my first kettle turkey! Been smoking turkeys for 10 years but never on the kettle so here goes!

Easy poultry seasoning...olive oil and some onion and celery in the cavity! Fired up the grill with 1/2 a lit chimney and a couple fire bricks to keep the heat indirect! Cherry for would smoke!! About 4 degrees this morning so it was interesting!

Sorry no plated pics...we took this one over to my aunts house and she made a nice bone in ham! All the good sides and great wine!!! Turkey went 3 hours at about 400 for the first 1/2 hour and 315 to 330 for 2 1/2 hours...came out real good!

Take care hope you all had a great Christmas!!

Great lookin' bird there! I've done several turkeys on my kettle, they always come out great! Nice job!!!!!

Gerti looks precious...The turkey looks good. By my standards we had a white Christmas in the Shenandoah Valley. Pretty rare. Happy Holidays.

LOL! It is a little work. But they entertain themselves most of the time, non-stop fighting! My wife and I sound like auctioneers sometimes! But there sisters and after playing/fighting ends there the best of friends and hate to be apart! Lots of energy that needs to be used up! Play hard, sleep harder!! Didn't mean to hijack your thread, Morgan.

A belated Christmas to you and yours Morgan! And a very Happy and blessed New Year!. Great pics and cook. The bird looks like it tasted delicious! And....this looks like one happy puppy!:)
