First Day of School. Time for a Roast

Quick little post here. First day of school for my three kiddos. Had this chuck roast thawed and I couldn't think of anything to fix but a pot roast. This is a staple during the cold weather but rare this time of year.
Needless to say everyone was happy and ate it all up, no leftovers.

Seasoned the roast.

Seared in the skillet.

Put all the goodies in and covered for cooking.

Took foil off, ready to pull off for rest. Right at three hours on the grill.

Plated. Had to cut the dry end off the leftover bread from last night reheated.

Very good meal. Kind of out of season but who cares. Thanks for looking and have a great Thursday!

Looks great Robert. I don't pay any attention to that seasonal stuff. If stew or hot turkey dinner stounds good to me in June, i do it. Loved the veggies.

I love a beef roast, I’m going to have to do my nice one on the grill and that one look good. One question, why switch to the foil pan? Why not just cook it in the cast iron.

Looks wonderful Robert! I had three chuck roasts and the first was PSB, the second BBQ beef and the third coming up is going to be pot roast. As you said a little early but why not.
