I spent the weekend with my Dad in AZ. He has this incredible fire brick lined grill. No matter what he throws on this cooker, there is always a killer smoke ring, on the food. It is soooo well seasoned, there is never a need to add wood chips or chunks. He can fit 4 beer can chickens, 2 beer can turkeys, and just about anything else. For this weekend, we did Pork Steaks on Saturday, and some great ribs on Sunday. It took about an hr for the Pork steaks to grill up, and about 2hrs, for the ribs. Good Eats!!! Here are the pics.

Sorry guys, I didn't think about taking any inner pics. Next time I visit my Dad, I will make sure I take more detail pics of this amazing cooker. No matter what we cook on it, there is always a great smoke ring. I've had my WSM since 2006, and to be honest, this grill makes better ribs, chicken, etc, then what I can do on my WSM. The only thing my WSM does better, would be the overnight cooks, like brisket, and pulled pork. Thanks for your kind comments :).

Michael the ribs and porkies look awesome but I gotta tell ya I'm intrigued by the grill?? Is it gas, charcoal fired? Are the fire bricks liners for the inside? I see one of the rib pictures with something wrapped in foil?

Just curious...sounds like a neat rig!

Thanks!!

The grill has fire bricks lined on the bottom. Half a bag of Wally world brand el cheapo charcoal on top of the bricks. The foiled thingys, were the potatoes we threw on there too. I turned them every 10-15 minutes, or so. I just added a plated picture. it was a great tasting meal!

Michael, you KNOW your Dad wants you to visit EVERYDAY.... so please go back tomorrow (TODAY IF POSSIBLE, it's still early there) and snap a few shots of his AWESOME grill!
Until then, i will not comment on how EXCELLENT those ribs look OR how i wish i was there to EET one OR TWO of those FANTASTIC TASTY pork steaks.... C'Mon Man.... get out there and TAKE your camera again.

Better yet, GIMME his address, i'll go for you! :D
