Fennel Halibut and Roasted Rutabaga

So we had all my kids home from college this weekend for a family event Saturday. Decided to do a nice cook for everyone. Came out great.

Something good brewing here

Halibut trimmed up, dressed with EVOO Sea Salt, Fresh Ground, a touch of Old Bay and some fresh fennel fronds, marinate in the fridge for half an hour.

Fennel bulbs cut into thirds and dressed with EVOO, S&P

Rutabaga diced up, dressed with EVOO, S&P, Sage and rosemary in the CI after cooking in the microwave for about ten minutes first to soften a little

Looks like you had a great family day, Bill. The Halibut looks delicious. I must say, I've never seen Rutabaga done like this. I like the idea - have to try it.
