pretty good pork... I tried something different this time around.
As always, I use Kevin Kroger's recipe he conjured up for Jane Cherry
but I've always rinsed off the salt after 20 minutes THEN rubbed the butts.
This time, I left the kosher salt on and applied the rub.
Definitely a saltier pulled pork sandwich, but still veryVERY good.
Thank you all for your time! Enjoy your Labor Day fellow Americans!

That's why I love this site. We all share ideas and cooks.
I have never seen a pulled pork sandwich with cheese. Thanks to you Jim I'm now craving some.

Very nice looking pulled pork Jim. Is 20 minutes long enough to do anything? When I salt steaks I let the salt sit for 30-45 minutes depending on thickness. With a pork butt being as think as it is 20 minutes to me sounds too short of a time.
