Did Kingsford change their formula for their briquettes?

Hey everyone.

The reason I'm asking this is that I've noticed for the last several cooks I've done with KBB is that the "white fog" has not been there. Still plenty of smoke present after start-up, but it's been light blue rather than white.

Has anyone else experienced this lately?

I did with an old 20 lb. bag from a summer HD twin pack sale.
Currently burning through a bag of K-Pro, and the light up is very similar to that of the 20 pound bag, light blue smoke and a good smell too.
Haven't burned any recently produced KBB lately.

A few months ago, I called Kingsford to inquire about a tagline I saw on a 100 anniversary bag of Kingsford that said "Now More BBQ Flavor". The customer service rep said she had no information about a formula change. This claim does not appear on other bags I've seen lately.

Those new style bags with the tag line is all they have around me now in South Jersey. I have noticed a little bit different smell on startup. KBB isn’t my usual though so can’t really tell if it cooks different.AAFF60B4-E0E6-4B53-AB16-1E8B13A4F255.jpeg
