Deep dish pizza lunch

I've been wanting to do a deep dish pizza. So, I did one for lunch today and it turned out great. :cool:

Grilled up some Italian sausage


Dough in the cast iron skillet with a sprinkling of cheese


Layer of sausage

Layer of cheese


Sauce and Pecorino Romano



Preheat temp


15min into cook




25 min and pizza pulled
 
Allright, i have to try this. Can you share the dough recipe?

Since this was my first deep dish I didn't want to spend a lot of time making my own dough. This is pizza dough from Whole Foods. Next time I'll be using my own dough.
 
Thanks for the compliments. I must say, if you want to try a pizza and like deep dish, do a deep dish. Much easier than a typical pie, IMO.
 
Nate, that is one awesome pizza and the CI did a great job on the crust. We love deep dish pizza so thats next on the list to do.
