Looks great Mark!
Thank you, it was a fun projectLooks great Mark!
I have that lid in black with that black handle and pin strip. I wish I knew someone around here that could use it. I don't have any use for it and dont have the space to hold on to it.This is in pretty tough shape, but I really like the lid.View attachment 109716https://www.facebook.com/share/1XMqenivRE/
Those are really good looking lids. I wonder how one would look on a Genesis 1000?I have that lid in black with that black handle and pin strip. I wish I knew someone around here that could use it. I don't have any use for it and dont have the space to hold on to it.
I like the pinstripe but other than that I prefer 0xxx lidsThose are really good looking lids. I wonder how one would look on a Genesis 1000?
Impressive to have a new oneSpeaking of lids, now I need to find a grill that I can use this brand new lid on. View attachment 109719
I'm with you there.I like the pinstripe but other than that I prefer 0xxx lids
It's a good looking lid, and brand new only adds to it. I just need to find the right grill for it now. That would be excellent for a restoration. I like the badge and the handle.
Don't get me wrong, I will always first be a fan of the Genesis 1-5 and x000 grills. However, this particular late Silver with the black trim, pinstripe and dual flip up tables earns a special "Honorable Mention" in my list. One was my daily driver for several years. It keeps the classic Weber design but in a bit more modern look. Best of all, you get a lot of useable shelf space in a small footprint. I also like the Platinums from the very early 2000 era with the Summit frame and "wing" side tables. But they take up a lot more room and offer LESS useable shelf space! This Silver deserves a 2nd go!This is in pretty tough shape, but I really like the lid.View attachment 109716https://www.facebook.com/share/1XMqenivRE/
