Curb Alert !!!

@Jon Tofte do you know if the part that goes over the starter button hole is available for the Char Q?
You cannot buy the one that has the CharQ logo on it any longer. Bruce gave me one from an electric Q. I just painted it black to cover the electric logo. The wood handle I have been trying to patiently wait on will have "CharQ" on it. That way it will still have its name!

I am pretty sure you can still hunt down the one for an electric Q. It is the same piece, just a different logo.

Thanks Jon!

Josh,
Did you pickup the Char-Q?
No I didn't. I am still considering putting it in an offer on it though. I need to get through some of these projects before I take on more or be extremely selective. I Should have one getting sold today so that will help. I also want to put in an offer on a LX440.
I also don't like to rush through my projects. That takes the fun out of it for me and I don't want to compromise the level of quality.

Josh, when I start pressing to get my grill rehabs done, it starts to feel more like a job than a hobby. I understand where you are coming from.

Absolutely Bruce
As long as I'm taking the time to put out a quality product I'm proud of it's still remains fun for me.
If I was to rush it and put out a product that I felt wasn't up to my standards just to make a few bucks. I wouldn't be interested in wasting my time. On the other hand I have to realize and accept that the attention and time spent on the fine details isn't always going to pay back in a flip but if I can still make my profit and make something that I can actually be proud of it's worth it.

I am not an expert, but I think the original Traegers were US made and very good, although the technology is dated by today's standards. Then I understand that Traeger, like so many companies, farmed production to overseas. Quality dropped, and Traeger was no longer the name they once had as the originator of the pellet grill. More recently, I think Traeger has worked hard to significantly improve the quality in their mainline offerings. They now have some excellent pellet grills with the latest technology.

I am not sure where that golden oldie fits in the timeline.
