Curb Alert !!!

They both went last summer, the 700 to a friend who didn’t care about the cosmetics on the repaired leg.

I passed on this one today. I was at $150 and seller wouldn't go below $200. I would have come up to $200 if I didn't have so many projects already.I prefer previous Genesis ii over these but they sell about the same. 1000013684.jpg

I know Jon has experience with them but that's literally all I know.
I AM A CharQ FAN!

The CharQ is a great charcoal grill as long as you know its limits. It's meant for typical hot and fast grilling like burgers and steaks. It doesn't need a ton of charcoal, and the cast iron grate makes for fun grilling and nice sear marks. I missed having mine this past summer as it has been dry docked for over a year in one of my crazy projects. Waiting so long for a special handle to finish it out:

I got mine really cheap in Florida. This is what it looked like when I picked it up:

A few cooks I have done on it:

Thanks Jon! I'll definitely consider putting in an offer.

I know these new Genesis grills don't have the rugged build and longevity of the classic "real" Webers, but I would have had a hard time not paying $200 for that one if it were near me. I would just like to try one out for a while, and then cleaned up - even here in corn country - it would be an easy sell. That one is actually nicer than the slightly dumbed down version they are currently selling. They ditched the tank scale and went to cheap painted door handles.

That's true and I agree $200 is a good price for a flip on this.
