I certainly don’t need another grill. This one has some good parts on it. I might keep the grates if they fit a Genesis 1-5 but I was hoping someone on here might want to take the rest of it off my hands.

I would buy the grates but to be honest you won't find better grates for you G 1-5 grills. This six burner has exactly 1.5 sets worth for your grills. If you purchase a half set of Weber #9930 grates you can outfit both of you Redhead grills with the best grates available that will last.

My grills already have good grates from RCPlanebuyer, but I didn’t have one of the half sized grates. Now I have enough grates to last two lifetimes and more.

They should look the same since Dave's grates are modeled off the 9930s.

I should have known you already had fantastic grates. I just got a bunch of IPE for slats and handles. You are the only person I know with IPE on a Weber.

Ipe is great wood for that purpose. Looks great with a coat of teak oil or just let them grey. They will never rot!

Wow, Gerry but that one photo looks like the the corner of the casting is broken. Otherwise if it has a good fire box could be a fun grill to work with

Both sides of the casting are broken and the flavorizer bars seem to be in rough shape.
The frame, doors and sides are in good shape. I think the lid is good too.
I will take a better look at it tomorrow

Giving away this grill. Must pick up. It needs a bit of cleaning, but it does work. The electric ignition does not light the gas but a lighter or match will. replacement part to fix this is cheap...
