Curb Alert !!!

The thing to me is will a “regular” end-user pay that? It looks like a gem given that it is just about 40 years old.
I was happy to Pay $40 for my metallic black lid 1985 wide slat genesis 2 in great original condition but I would have passed on it for $300.

Although the guy I got it from was an Amish finish carpenter and he gave me a truckload of really nice wood for free that i can make a lot of slats and handles out of. Including IPE Ironwood/Brazilian Walnut, Alaskan White Cedar and Poplar.

When I cook at the ball diamond, they have a silver C there and the dual tables while cooking 60 brats, 50 burgers, and char marking hot dogs, having that extra table is beyond great. The sideburner never gets used, so I am going to offer trading them a table for it. Only problem is the tables on that one are SO dark, since it hardly ever sees sun, it would look kind of out of place.

Edited to add pic of tables. So much darker than anything I’ve ever come across.
Looks like granite!

Like the pinup girls. That oldie but goodie has had some work done. Not over the top. Funny though, he did not even bother to make sure the bars were straight and the like. It does look like a nice one, but $300? Maybe if one of the craftsmen on here had done a full on restore/rebuild. Not for that at least not from me

I guess it just depends what you're looking for. For me personally, I think it's a very nice grill but I have more red lids then I know what to do with and I don't value the wide frames as much or side burner. If it was a platinum 1000 or Jr. Fully complete in that condition
Just needing the work put in for restoration.
I'd be willing to get closer to asking price but thats just me and my preferences. Probably different for everyone depending on what they already have and what they're looking for.

If I knew it this morning I’d have already gotten this. About 45 minutes away. May try and go tomorrow if it’s still around.

Dang, I need to get my paws on one of these. Just a bit too far for today’s timing. Edgerton WI
Price is for sure right! I prefer the Silver version over this Spirit that was from when Weber moved the tooling for this body style to China. As part of that “re-brand” and down-pricing they dropped the wonderful fold-down side tables.

I’ve been tempted to pick up a couple free Blackstones. Unless it is a high end model, the smaller ones aren’t worth the time because they’re pretty reasonable brand new.
