Covid 19 Changed My Pellet Grill Selection

I am now in the Russ Olin camp of buy Made in the USA. I found a small company in Cape Girardeau Missouri that makes pellet grills that I can stretch a buck and get. When my current grill dies I'm getting a 24" or 30" Smokin Brothers grill. Not a lot of stainless but enough cooking space and more. 1000 to 1500 dollar range.

Good point Lynn. I enjoy watching David break down an animal. He has great knife skills. I was just looking for Made in USA and looked at Cookshack first. The thing is I was born and raised in Missouri about 100 miles away from Cape Girardeau so they get the home boy vote and they have dealers 30 minutes from me. :)

I just briefly looked at their 30" model - $1,499 - and it does look solidly built and with a good controller, too!

Lew, I am also in the USA camp and giving a hard look at the Smokin Brothers grills as well as Blaz'n. Like you said, good quality and in the price ballpark with all of the non-USA options in the market.

The more I read about the "Savannah Stoker" the more impressed I am. Joined their Facebook group and this is a well respected option on many pellet grills.

Alright guys, glad to see you coming over to the good side. We need to support middle class America. I know that it cost a little bit more to buy USA quality, but in the long run it makes a guy feel better supporting our work force. Good choice guys.

I was one click away from buying the smokefire. I had sold my traeger thinking I would get a smokefire, plus I was moving and that was one less thing to move. Then when the sale came on, I was pumped to get one. But being in the middle of a move, I decided to wait til we were in our new place. I ended up missing the recent sale by a day and decided to expand my search. Really wanted to get a US made product. Ended up with a smokin brothers 30 premier plus I picked up yesterday from a dealer about an hour away. It was more money, but this thing is a beast! So I just got the wheels on and am starting my seasoning run, waiting for Hanna to arrive. 20200724_183759.jpg

I could be wrong but I believe they are assembled in the US using global parts. So, I would say, kind of?
