Was doing our weekly trip through Costco and saw these Prime New York Steaks. I've really been trying to knock down my freezer stash, but these looked so good. Grabbed them and didn't look back.



Salt and Pepper only.



My sides ready to go.



Bakers on for about an hour.



Steaks on.



Flip.



Threw on some asparagus.



Flip flopped for a couple more minutes.



Done, then rest.

Steaks were really good. Not as good as Rib eyes but still pretty tasty. Thanks for looking everyone.

Nice looking plate of food there Cliff. I'm with you on rib-eyes over strips, although I would have made that strip you just cooked disappear in no time.
 
Beautiful steak cook and pics Cliff!

I eyeballed some Prime NY's, aka KC's, at Costco my last trip, but settled on Choice ribeyes.
I also need to reduce freezer inventory, but meat counters are like magnets.
 
Last week I'm in Costco and what do I see, Choice NYs for $7.99 per lb. I found the marbling to be what we call a "High Choice". Absolutely fantastic flavor and tenderness. Costco is hard to beat when it comes to their meat. Stocked up last week.

Great looking cook Cliff. Pics also look wonderful. Sides were spot on. Would love to have that plate. Have a few prime top sirloin in the freezer that I will cook this weekend. Costco meat dept is a magnet. Just can't resist.
 
Same here on knocking down the freezer loads, but if I saw those I would have done the same thing. You did those steaks and sides perfectly Cliff, great cook.
 
Cliff, you nailed that for sure. Outstanding cook and you can pass a plate this way anytime.
