Cooking two Butts tonight and would like to bounce something off you all

I am a long time smoker using a GOSM Big Block which had a lot of racks and was easy to do a lot of butts. I have now and absolutely love my 18.5" WSM. I have seen people cooking 3 on the top rack but if you are doing just two do you put them both on the top rack or one top and bottom centered? I say centered because I have see where meat close to the side wall seems to be hotter for the heat coming up outside of my pan.

Thanks, going on in 3 hours so hope I get a reply in time.

You can't go wrong either way you go. Try it and see what you think, keep notes, then try it the other way next time and see what you think.

You might get slightly better smoke circulation by using both racks, but I doubt that it will make any difference.

If I'm cooking nothing else I would put them both on top. Easier to get in and out without losing that much heat, being on top.
