Cold Weather Cook

It was a cold windy day here. It may look warm out but it wasn't. Looks deceiving.

The wife said she wanted country style ribs.
she seasoned them up with a combo of Cabelas baby back rib, Cabelas Pecan Honey & Savory Longs Peak Pork Chop spice.
Grilled to give them a good bark & flavor.

Then into the old CI.

And into the rotten egg. Our go to cold weather cooker. Can't beat it for using in the cold weather.
Added some broth and simmer for a few hours.

After 2 hours she added a jar of sauerkraut that a friend of hers had made. Sprinkled with brown sugar, pepper & garlic salt.
Back into the egg for a few more hours.

Green beans with homemade bacon.

Ready to eat. The meat was fall apart done. Sauerkraut was great. Too bad we didn't have more of it.

Here is your plate. It was all guud.

Thanks for looking at our cookin'!

Russ you and the Mrs. did a fantastic job on that meal it looks wonderful. Nice and yummy on a cold day thanks for sharing.

Great looking CSR's Russ. Like the addition of the sauerkraut. I love that stuff and might give it a shot next time I cook them. I think I've mentioned it before but I really like your place and the country you live in. That porch is spectacular.
