Cody's Corner of Random Rehabbing & Shenanigans

And that all sounds good to me too. There's no way I would even try to make the way I do things seem normal, or the right way to anyone else. It doesn't even make sense to me most of the time, so I try not to be too judgemental about how many grills someone has or uses. The one thing that unites most of us is the work itself, just trying to do the best job we can on every grill and coming up with new and better ways to achieve that.
Yes ⬆️👏🏻

Absolutely. Just like I seem to be of the minority that on a keeper, I want the box blasted clean (or whichever method you choose), and sparkly like new. Prior to using it.

It’s kind of like antique cars…..
Hank I think that's a great analogy. Some like all original classic cars and some like custom hotrods and some like somewhere in-between. Some being driven hard and some on display indoors and some somewhere in-between.
I can appreciate all of the above regardless of how I would approach classic cars myself just the same as I can appreciate people and how they approach there grills.

I did a tri-five Chevy clone from American Grafitti. I had 80 hours in wet-sanding and buffing in it. The owner asked me if I wanted to drive it. I said “hell yes I do” he said “good, go light em up” and that was among the best burnouts of my life! I’ll see if I can find a pic. Car is gorgeous.
