Yup. But I’m thinking about the rollerblade style. I have a couple sets of used (rehabbed) wheels. Last year I found a 4 pack of lockers and a 4 pack of identical non locking wheels both for $12/each on prime days or Black Friday deals. I was putting a locker in front and plain one in back. Unfortunately they’re no longer available.Nice paint job on that frame. It's weird that the info sticker pulled paint off the frame, those usually come off pretty easily. There are several cheaper options for those plastic casters on Amazon. They might not be better than the original ones, but they are less money and look similar.
Do you take your frames apart to paint them?Do you not take the frame apart to paint?
I do on ones that aren’t in this good of shape, and my usual stand I use wasn’t able to use. I also like the uniformity of it all being painted in one… sweep if you will.Do you not take the frame apart to paint?
I never thought about this before because I always take the frame completely apart to paint it, but then I assume you have to leave the frame bolted together along with the washers or it would fall apart when you flipped it over.I do on ones that aren’t in this good of shape, and my usual stand I use wasn’t able to use. I like the idea of painting it all together if I can take it apart and clean and do a rust preventative where the frame parts meet and in the tubes. Maybe paint those spots first and then paint the frame all together. Not sure if you do that or a version of that but that's another thing I like about this place. Seeing different ways is always good and makes me think. The frame isn’t bolted tight. The screws are mostly screwed in to ensure I get paint all around them all
And I like being able to spray it upside down to ensure coverage in hard to reach spots.I never thought about this before because I always take the frame completely apart to paint it, but then I assume you have to leave the frame bolted together along with the washers or it would fall apart when you flipped it over.
Yes. I’m fortunate to have the shop space I do! I visually look at the joints and connections. This is the first one I’ve done like this. Going forward, what you just said is what I’ll be doing. On the male ends of the frame extensions and the legs, there wasn’t any rust, it was just that brown kinda dust.I like the idea of painting it all together if I can take it apart and clean and do a rust preventative where the frame parts meet and in the tubes. Looking great Cody! I'm envious of that nice big space you have to work in!
