Cleaning 1998 Burner Tubes

Removed the air/fuel cover. Slipped a bolt through the hole w/ a nut to secure, then reattached the assembly. Presto, you've got a little jig for your drill and you can slip it on any other future tube.

You arent afraid of damaging the cover like that ?

I'm not using the piece from the tube I'm cleaning. This is just a junky one that will be slipped on as a jig for any future tubes. While there needs to be some care in alignment, once in place with the screw, it's pretty solid... plus the RPMs are not that fast.

Nice Jon! Are you painting them with anything special or just rattle can ?
It was just rattle can. I did this and a couple others for our non-profit organizations' Thrift Store in Florida. When a promising tool would get donated, I would try to take them home and make them saleable! I did a Spirit grill that way for them once, too.

I did this one up here in Indiana. A genuine Crescent wrench made in USA in Jamestown, NY I picked up at the annual "Covered Bridge Festival." The paint hasn't held up all that well, but it is a REAL Crescent wrench and gets some use.
