First time trying beef shoulder steaks.
I bought these for $2.99/lb about 3 weeks ago.
The same store had them 'on sale' later for $3.99/lb, and this week they're $3.29.
New twist on the old nail in the tater trick, is was tricky when I turned them, wanted to roll back.
Dried well after spending a few hours in Stubb's beef marinade.
Lowered the grate center to the top of a basket of lump.
Side salad topped with sweet/sour tomatoes, and the dressing was some juice from the same tomatoes.
The steaks were great, good beef flavor with a bit of chew.
For you photo folks, the last shot is a heavy crop @ f4, 2200 ISO.
Noise reduction on these newer cameras is amazing!
Happy hump day everyone!
ps, Brooke loved the gristle strip cut from each steak.
