Couple hour marinade in equal parts maple syrup and soy sauce.

Then onto cedar...

While that was going got some steamed rice under way & sauted some broccolini in some evoo, garlic. birds eye chilies & s&p.

It looks great but I have a question. It looks as though you did not soak the plank. Was there a reson that you didn't? I have always soaked my planks and it seems to help the smoke flavor.
 
I soaked it for a couple hours maybe. Was cooked direct using lump @ 450-500 for 20mins.

Sorry bout that. The pictures made it look as though the plank was dry so I was wondering is there was something to learn. Thanks
 
Inspirational, will dig out a cedar plank when the weather turns (which looks like August now)

Has anyone tried other types of fish than salmon/trout?
