Over in another thread there is a link to an article where the guy promotes using a gas grill for speed over using charcoal.
I took that as a challenge to see how fast I could make my lunch.

I started a 3/4 full basket of Kb using the gas assist, let it go for 1 minute 30 seconds before shutting off the gas.
Diced some garlic Spam, and was frying it 7 minutes from ignition.

Pork & beans with a dose of garlic powder and pepper.

Velveeta queso blanco on top.

A total of 40 minutes from ignition and ready to eat.
Time could have been shaved to 30 minutes if I had used shredded cheese since it took longer for this to melt.

First taste was very good, but needed the kick of some Texas Pete hot sauce.

Yes, Brooke got a piece of Spam.
I do think this would be an easy and quick meal for camping, if you're a Spam lover that is.
Thanks for viewing my Weird Wednesday lunch!

PS, I left the vents all open and checked the hood temp after one hour, it was still hitting 300.
This is with the newest Kingsford.

That looks good but I just have to ask; Where/how did you come up with that combination? I never would have thought to put that together on a pizza. Great job and a big plus for creativity.

Bob, well that sure looks different, bet it was tasty though. Eight minuets thirty seconds from ignition to cooking, that's impressive. Up here in the clouds at 5600ft. It takes at least 20 minuets to get the coals half lit in the chimney after using the gas assist for about 4-5 minuets.

looks interesting Bob... but I think you know that i'da swap out the fake meat with BACON and the fake cheese with PROVEL

I warned you brother dont opend that Door//can. A well beans´n´whatnot doesent look to bad presented like that. Hand me one and i will shut up...
