Cabin fever broke!

Dear Board,

With the beautiful weekend weather I managed to dig the OTG out of the garage and do a bit of cooking this weekend. It was great to be outside cooking.

Yesterday I started out with a pork roast for pulled pork sandwiches.

Inspired by yesterday's effort today I managed to do some apple wood smoked chicken with a generous helping of home made potato salad.

The OTG is back in the garage for a while again, but I am really looking forward to the Spring when I can stand outside and cook. It's where I belong.

He, like me was so thrilled to be above freezing for a whole day he just went craaaazy and forgot the camera, I understand man

Dear Board,

I'll make a long story short,

I can no longer get to my Photobucket account. I switched to Flickr. I posted the pictures and they didn't show up.

I couldn't figure out why.

Today I did.

Everything works now, WHOOO-HOOOOO!!!

Keep on grillin' and chillin'

Regards,

Tim Murphy :D

Nice job, Tim. I'm dying for some BBQ chicken like that. It has been too long a winter for us Easterners. Snow coming tonight into Monday. I might not make it.

Dear Joe,

Hang in there! Hopefully this is the last real snowfall of the Winter for us folks. There are a lot of us looking forward to better BBQ'ing weather.

I'll cook outside in the Winter if I can get the grill out to a level spot but it took weeks to get all the frozen ice and snow and slush cleared from my driveway because it was so cold.

C'mon Spring!

Regards,

Tim Murphy :D

We're due for a few more inches of snow today into tomorrow , and it's been bitter cold ( although the sun has been out)
but I'm glad to see some outdoor cooking going on. It warms me to see these photos. Nice looking chicken , man.

Dear Board,

Thanks for the compliments. I'm going to leave the grill in the garage today and make some soup instead but soon I'll be outside 3 or 4 or 5 nights a week where I belong.

I manage to make some tasty food on the grill but to me the process of cooking outside is about 90% of the deal. I get great satisfaction cooking over fire, be it charcoal or propane generated.

Stay warm and know that starting next Sunday you'll have an extra hour of daylight in which to cook!

Regards,

Tim Murphy :D
