Burnt Ends

Had some leftover brisket. Chopped up the point & cooked at 225 for 3 hours. Then sauced one hour

Did I get this right? You took an uncooked brisket point, cubed it then cooked it? With the rub I can't tell if those first pictures are of cooked brisket or not.
Final result looks good.
 
No Tommy. After the brisket is cooked slice off the point & cut into 1 inch cubes. Put rub on them & cook 3 hours to render out the fat. Then sauce them & cook 1 more hour. Delicious BBQ candy or Burnt Ends
 
I've never made burnt ends... now I want to get another packer (my wife found a supply at $3.99/lb!) so I can take a stab at it :)

DB, if you happen to be a Costco member, they have Prime grade packers for $3.80 per pound down here. Would have to think price would be similar up your way.
