I enjoyed reading your trip report! Glad you enjoyed Jack Stack and especially Joe's, it was our favorite during our 2022 visit.
Any idea which type of media? I’d still love to have an SS Gold/Platinum lid redone in porcelain. So even if it does chip it’ll never rust.Media blast.
I am not sure, but I am pretty sure that Jeff could porcelain coat a SS lid as well.
Green with white and yellow stripes on the end would beClose Cody, real close.
Cody, I actually have Jeff working on a Packers custom lid for me as we speak. Although I am a die hard Vikings fan, my daughter loves the Packers and this is going to be a present for her. I will share pictures as soon as I get the lid.I think a Packers lid would look great!![]()
Anything cooked on a grill like that will for sure fall short of the desired outcome… but in all honesty, that would be a pretty kickass grill… that wouldn’t be able to go all the way.
The intelligence jumped a generation!Rick, how are you a Vikings Fan living in PA, and your daughter is a Packer fan?
TImothy,Bruce, a splurge now and again is good for you! You guys flip grills for a “hobby with benefits” having showpieces is an exercise in showing your talents, that’s NOT extravagant, that’s marketing. Custom finishes are an “Option” not something that you would consider for a “flip” but, if someone came to you and said “Can you…?” You can with confidence show the sample and say “Yep”!
Selling fine jewelry one learns the simple fact that “We” have no idea how how deep the clients pockets are (it’s none of our business) if they want something which we can supply? “Thank you” comes to mind.
I have shared a story of a guy coming in to pick up a custom diamond ring during a snowstorm and he didn’t have a lot to do so, he just hung out and we chatted while his wife (she knew what was coming) just enjoyed looking. “Ooh those are pretty!” 2.00 carat diamond earrings. He just gave “Wrap ‘em” look.
Then he found a lovely watch saying, “I’ve worked hard this year!” She gave the “Wrap it” look. Then she found a watch SHE liked! He looked at me and said (very gently) don’t stop selling until the customer says “ouch”…I just said Ouch! With a wink and a smile. That was a very good day! He was never so happy to see a FedEx guy in his life!
I have no idea, must have been the purple uniforms with the horns imprinted on me when I was little...believe me, I would have been better off being a Steelers fan growing up in the 70's! My daughter moved to Milwaukee and married a Packers fan, so she adapted to and adopted the team. SKOL!!Rick, how are you a Vikings Fan living in PA, and your daughter is a Packer fan?
