Blackberry Pie on the 14 1/2 inch WSM

As mentioned in the Tri Tip thread, I did a Blackberry Pie on my little WSM. Here are a few pic's.

Made the crust from scratch. Cutting in the butter.



Blackberries in with sugar, cornstarch and a tbsp. of butter.



Put the top on.



On the WSM.



All done after about 45 minutes @ 400 degrees dome temp.



On the cooling rack until dinner time.



Dessert time. Topped with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious!!!

Believe me, Tony, after seeing daily what you produce on the grill, I know without doubt that you possess whatever skills are necessary.
 
My grams used to grow blackberries in her backyard. Once a year we had awesome desserts, especially the pie. Yours took me right back to childhood! Thx ;)
 
go to the head of the class Cliff. You guys that bake on the grill amaze me. Woo, send me a slice while you're at it.
