are you kiddin' me??!! Aaron Franklin is unique being Aaron Franklin with his cooking AND the way he looks, dresses and presents himself... changing anything for television could commercialize his existence...
I'm sooo looking forward to seeing his show on PBS (although his YouTube series is also very cool).
If I could eet at only one BBQ joint EVER anywhere, it would be at Franklin BBQ in Austin Texas.

I didn't click on the video link so I didn't realize it's going to be a PBS show. Very nice, on PBS he can be Aaron Franklin whereas on some cable network he'd have to be AARON FRANKLIN!!.

Hmmm...in the frame capture in the original post he looks kind of like Jeff Goldblum. A cooking show with Jeff Goldblum would be intriguing and unsettling at the same time.

I spent part of today (with the weather being what it is I sure was looking for SOMETHING to do) watching some of Aaron's Utube videos. I found them VERY good. I will welcome his new show. I hope everything works out for him. Aaron would be welcome in my home anytime!

WOW! This would be pretty cool, I hope it's shows in my neck of the woods. I enjoy watching this kind of stuff. Just like here, so much experience and good advice, it would be pretty cool seeing some as accomplished as he work his magic. Man I hope it comes on around here.

EXACTLY Tim! That's just what i'm talking about....

i have to agree with david. Every time I see franklin (and I like him a lot) I think " dude , at least shave your neck ! ". But I totally agree with you guys that franklins manner is very likeable and I enjoy his Everyman type of presentation.


And I have worn a full beard since the 70's , so I'm not anti whiskers.
